Listowel Legionnaires 13U defeated Jr Baysox 13U 12-2 on Sunday thanks in part to eight runs in the first inning.
Listowel Legionnaires 13U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Wade V was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Maison P doubled, scoring two runs, Maverick R singled, scoring one run, Max Z singled, scoring one run, and Talon A tripled, scoring three runs.
Listowel Legionnaires 13U added one run in the third. Talon A singled to center field, making the score 9-1.
Ryder S stepped on the bump first for Jr Baysox 13U. The starter surrendered 10 hits and nine runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two. Riley A came on in relief of Ryder, going 3 innings while allowing 6 hits, 3 runs (2 earned).
