Mikey S collected three hits in three at bats, as Jr Baysox 13U defeated Select 13U 18-6 on Wednesday. Mikey S singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Select 13U got on the board in the first inning after Grady E grounded out, scoring two runs.
Jr Baysox 13U jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Jack H doubled down the right field line, Ryder S doubled down the left field line, and Mikey S singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Jr Baysox 13U scored eight runs on eight hits in the bottom of the third inning. Jack H singled, scoring two runs, Mikey S singled, scoring one run, Hunter E doubled, scoring two runs, Riley A singled, scoring one run, Kai V doubled, scoring one run, and Jude M drew a walk, scoring one run.
Jr Baysox 13U scored seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ryder S doubled, scoring two runs, Mikey S singled, scoring one run, Kai V singled, scoring two runs, and Jude M doubled, scoring one run.
Niall E stepped on the hill first for Jr Baysox 13U. The hurler surrendered three hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Blake K started the game for Select 13U. The hurler allowed 11 hits and nine runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Rylan G appeared in relief for Jr Baysox 13U.
Jr Baysox 13U piled up 20 hits in the game. Hunter E, Mikey S, and Ryder S each collected three hits for Jr Baysox 13U. Kai V, Mikey S, Ryder S, and Jack H each drove in three runs for Jr Baysox 13U.
