The 2024 Season Is Almost Here...

With the 2024 season just around the corner, we wanted to share some important information and updates with you...
Coaches / Convenors Meeting:
A coaches and convenors meeting has been scheduled for Thursday May 16th - 7pm, at the Kinsmen Diamonds. All coaches, convenors, and available Executive members are asked to attend. We'll review requirements and expectations for the 2024 season, and members of your executive will be available to answer any questions.
Photo Days:
2024 season photo days have been scheduled for Monday May 27th, Thursday May 30th, and Wednesday June 5th. As game/practice schedules are being finalized and loaded into the website, our photo coordinator will be finalizing a schedule soon. Our photo days will be combined with Minor Lacrosse, and in the event that some of our Hawks / Jr Baysox can't make the available dates, there is also an option to attend Minor Soccer's photo day. The photos are composite team photos (individual shots photoshopped together), so everyone just needs to make sure their photo is taken, and the photography company will work their magic to put it altogether.
Teams / Schedules / Contacts / Communication:
If you've been following us through the offseason, you'll have noticed that our volunteer executive has expanded significantly, and it's a good thing, as the league has experienced a 20% growth in registrations this year, with almost 300 players registered for the 2024 season. We've had some wonderful volunteers join the team, to help deliver a great baseball season for all of our Hawks and Jr Baysox. With new people and new roles on the team, there is bound to be some learning curves, and we appreciate your patience. Team lists have been put together, schedules are being finalized and loaded into the website, and we're getting prepared for game play to being the week of May 27th, with some teams looking to practice during the shortened week of May 21st.

SportsHeadz App:
As a player or parent, if you haven't already done so, please ensure you download the SportsHeadz App for the 2024 season. All games and practices will be shown in the App. The App can be downloaded from the Google Play or Apple Stores. When you download the app, navigate to the TEAMS section, click the "+" button, and proceed to "FIND YOUR TEAM". You'll start by searching Owen Sound Minor Baseball, and then you'll be able to search or scroll to select your team (eg Team 11U-1, 11U-2, 9U-1, etc...). For anyone having troubles, more information will be provided at the coaches and convenors meeting, and we'll be sure to have that information passed along to players and their families.
Umpires:
A reminder that this Saturday May 4th is our Umpire Clinic, for all new and returning Level 1/2 umpires. For more information, please check out our umpire section:

The Executive and Umpire Scheduler are also working on the admin setup to have our umpire scheduling completed right through our website. We'll be reaching out to our registered umpires shortly after the clinic with more information. Stay tuned.
