We hope you all had a great time over the holidays, and that 2024 has started off great. While we might be getting lots of snow this week, it's only a matter of time before the spring is upon us and we are back out on the diamonds. With off-season planning in full swing, we wanted to provide you with some updates...
Registration:
As you will see from the banner on our homepage, and from our social media posts / ads, REGISTRATION IS OPEN for the 2024 season. This year we are having an early bird draw.
Sign up before February 1st for a chance to win your registration fees back. All registrants, prior to Feb 1, will be entered into a draw. One lucky winner will be picked / announced live on our Facebook Page after the contest closes. Registration will remain open until March 29th.
OSMB Executive Expansion:
In the fall/winter of 2023, we set out to expand our volunteer executive team. We're happy to welcome lots of new faces to the OSMB Executive, all committed to helping grow the game, and help OSMB fly to new heights. We still have some roles available to be filled, so if you're interested in knowing what openings exist, or simply knowing the names / contacts of your dedicated OSMB Executive members, check out our

7U Jr Rookie Allstars:
For the 2024 season, OSMB is looking to establish a 7U Jr Rookie Allstars Team that will be coached by Jaffe Keeling. The 7U Jr Rookie Allstars is an advanced T-Ball team, put together to offer additional training and playing time for those Hawks that are looking for a little more. The program helps set the foundation for a potential Select or Rep team in 8U/9U.
Playing for this team will be in addition to being a part of the 7U House League / Coach pitch program. For the inaugural season (2024), interested players can expect to have 1 additional practice (per week), and some exhibition games. There is the opportunity for the 7U Jr Rookie team to enter into some tournaments in Southern Ontario, but for the inaugural season the focus will be on program development and practices / exhibition games. Stay tuned for more information as the season approaches, including when/where tryouts will be held.
