After successful 11U and 13U Battle on the Bay Tournaments during the inaugural (2024), and 2025 seasons, Owen Sound Minor Baseball is excited to add a 9U tournament for the 2026 season.

The 9U Battle on the Bay Tournament will feature 8 teams hosted at Duncan McLellan Park June 12-14. Two divisions of 4 teams will engage in a 3-game guaranteed round robin, with the top 2 teams from each division advancing to the Semi-Finals on Sunday.

Owen Sound Minor Baseball will have a concession stand set up at the pavilion, including BBQ hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, lots of drinks and snacks, and some swag. 50/50 tickets will also be available for purchase, with the winner being announced before the Championship Game on Sunday. The park also includes washroom facilities and a play structure.

Two divisions of 4 teams will engage in a 3-game guaranteed round robin, with the top 2 teams from each division advancing to the Semi-Finals on Sunday.

Other Information

Kincardine, Saugeen Shores, and Owen Sound #1 & #2 have decided to branch off from the rest of WOBA for their 15U WOBA Year End Tournament. The 4 teams will play a 3 game round robin on Friday August 15th and Saturday August 16th, with the top two teams meeting in the Championship the morning of Sunday August 17th.

Owen Sound Minor Baseball is hosting the 9U WOBA - Consulation 2 - Year End Tournament the weekend of August 8-10. The Tournament includes:

1. Owen Sound Jr Baysox Pet Valu
2. Mount Forest Mavericks
3. Saugeen Shores Sting Black
4. Owen Sound Jr Baysox 1 Giant Tiger
5. Chepstow WOBA

To cut down on travel for the visiting centres, only the two Owen Sound teams will play on Friday night. All other games will take place on Saturday and Sunday

After a successful inaugural tournament in 2024, the Battle on the Bay Tournament is back for 2025. This year the tournament will include 8-team divisions at both 11U & 13U. The 11U games will again be played out of the Balmy Beach (Indian Falls Conservation) & Shallow Lake diamonds in Georgian Bluffs, while the 13U division will be hosted at Duncan McLellan Park in Owen Sound.
The tournament will include 3 games guaranteed, starting on Friday, with semi-final and championship play on Sunday. There will be game MVPs for each team, and Owen Sound Minor Baseball is planning to host a free event on Saturday night.
