11U Rep Hawks Off-Season Training Begins...
The 11U Rep Hawks began their off-season training last night at the Kemble Arena...
After 3 outdoor tryouts in September, a first round of selections has 19 players continuing their journey into the off-season. Training sessions will take place at Kemble Arena on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 630-800.
On Wednesday night, the players in attendance participated in a warm-up and beep test, before getting down to work in 4 different stations (pitching, hitting, infield, outfield). Prior to the workout, Head Coach Ryan Bartley (and members of the Owen Sound Baysox Sr Team) helped get a retractable batting tunnel installed using aircraft cables suspended from the structure. The tunnel not only gives a safe space for hitting, but it also helps provide separation between the pitching and infield/outfield work.
Workouts will continue through the off-season, with the final roster being dwindled down to 13 before the 11U Hawks hit the field in the spring. We're excited to see the development over the coming weeks/months, and wish all of the 11U hopefuls the best of luck.
Work hard. Play hard. Have Fun.
