Hey Hawks!
We hope you all had a great time this weekend, as the OSMB took part in their first entry into the Owen Sound Santa Claus Parade. Thanks to everyone that helped, and also to those that shared pictures on social media. To see more photos, check out the OSMB 2023 SC Parade Photo Gallery

If you were paying close attention, you may have noticed our "Hawk" was outfitted in a Baysox jersey. There was more to this than just helping to promote our Owen Sound baseball community, and we did hear some chatter amongst the parade spectators...
The Owen Sound Baysox are a Sr / Men's Rep team that plays in the North Dufferin Baseball League (NBDL). Many of their players grew up playing baseball in the area, with some going on to play collegiate level baseball, but still returning to play with the Baysox in the summer. The Baysox play their home games at Tom Williams Park, and members of the Baysox have come forward with an interest in joining the OSMB Executive, to help grow the game and give back to the community.
The Owen Sound Minor Baseball Association is excited to announce that - while our Hawks will continue to learn how to soar in house / local WOBA league,
starting with the 2024 season - all OBA / Rep teams will be known as the Jr. Baysox. As agreed unanimously by the OSMB Executive at the 2023 year-end meeting, the move is being made to continue to build a strong culture of baseball in the Owen Sound and surrounding areas.
You'll soon see the new Jr. Baysox logo displayed proudly alongside our Hawks logo on our website, and we hope to launch some online ordering for clothing for our Hawks and Jr. Baysox gear for the upcoming season. We hope you're as excited as we are for this new development for Owen Sound Minor Baseball Association and the Owen Sound Baseball Community.
