Did you hear about the first ever Owen Sound Baseball Training winter camp taking place January 2nd through 4th? Maybe some parents out there are still looking for something to get their baseball loving player for Christmas?...
OSMB Alumnus Kirk Gibson will be hosting this exciting opportunity for up to 30 youths from the Owen Sound and surrounding area. The camp will run January 2nd through 4th from 10am to 4pm. The camp will include high level evaluation and training on the physical and mental aspects of the game. Daily schedule will include:
10:00-12:00 -
Stretching and Fielding.
This time will be used to ensure the bodies are prepared for the day, including instruction on infield, outfield, and catching.
12:00 - 2:00 - Lunch Break & Learning. This time will be used to eat lunch and keep the body fueled. After lunch, participants will focus on growing their baseball knowledge and learning about the mental aspects of the game. Parents are asked to have a lunch prepared for January 2nd and 3rd. On the 4th, OS Baseball Training will provide pizza and juice.
2:00 - 4:00 - Hitting / Pitching. This time will be used to analyze swings and pitching, while participants are provided with advice and feedback on mechanics from college level trained instructors.
