13U Jr Baysox Rep Pick Up First Win in a Walk-off

It came down to the wire on Friday, as Jr Baysox 13U grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over 13U Orillia Royals. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the fifth when Kai V singled, scoring one run.
 


13U Orillia were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on another play.

Jr Baysox 13U captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first after Jack H singled down the left field line, Hunter E walked, and Riley A grounded out, each scoring one run.

Orillia jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Wyatt J singled to center field, and Tobias B walked, each scoring one run.

Jr Baysox 13U took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Mikey S singled, scoring two runs, to give Jr Baysox 13U the advantage, 5-4.

A double by Liam L gave Orillia the lead, 6-5, in the top of the fifth.

Jr Baysox 13U jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Ryder S doubled down the left field line, and Kai V singled to right field, each scoring one run.


Kai V started on the hill for Jr Baysox 13U. The starter allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Alex T began the game for Orillia. The hurler surrendered two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking three. Rylan G and Dennis F each appeared in relief for Jr Baysox 13U.


Mikey S led Jr Baysox 13U with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Mikey S and Ryder S each collected two hits for Jr Baysox 13U. Jr Baysox 13U ran wild on the base paths, piling up seven stolen bases for the game. Jr Baysox 13U didn't commit a single error in the field. Tate K had the most chances in the field with four.


Alex T, Wyatt J, and Evan R each collected two hits for Orillia. Liam L went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Caeden B led Orillia with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Evan R stole two bases.Orillia ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game.
