Tate’s Big Day Propels Jr Baysox 13U Past Bytown Dodgers 13U

Tate K collected four hits in five at bats, as Jr Baysox 13U defeated Bytown Dodgers 13U 15-5 on Sunday. Tate K singled in the third inning, singled in the sixth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the first inning.
Jr Baysox 13U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Bytown Dodgers 13U committed an error, and Bytown Dodgers 13U committed an error, each scoring one run.
Jr Baysox 13U added one run in the second after Tate K singled to center field.
Jr Baysox 13U scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Jack H grounded out, scoring one run, Hunter E singled, scoring one run, Mikey S doubled, scoring one run, Tate K singled, scoring two runs, and Riley A grounded out, scoring one run.
Bytown Dodgers 13U scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to right field by Jaxon D.
Niall E earned the win for Jr Baysox 13U. The left-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking two. Solal G took the loss for Bytown Dodgers 13U. The hurler went two and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits, striking out two and walking none. Mikey S appeared in relief for Jr Baysox 13U.
Jr Baysox 13U piled up 17 hits in the game. Riley A, Niall E, Mikey S, Dennis F, and Ryder S each collected multiple hits for Jr Baysox 13U. Riley A, Tate K, and Dennis F each stole multiple bases for Jr Baysox 13U. Jr Baysox 13U ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 12 stolen bases for the game. Jr Baysox 13U turned one double play in the game.
Arthur H and Jaxon D were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Bytown Dodgers 13U. Jaxon D went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bytown Dodgers 13U in hits.
After the game, the Bytown Dodgers coach expressed his gratitude to the coaches, players, and fans in attendance. Stating that he helps to coach 3 A-AAA teams; and organizes / supports up to 8 tournaments a year in their hometown near Ottawa. Standing at home plate in front of the crowd, the coach said:
