OSMB Holds Successful 2025/26 Annual General Meeting
Owen Sound Minor Baseball (OSMB) held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday January 11th at 7:00 p.m., welcoming members, volunteers, and community supporters to reflect on the past season and set the direction for the future of baseball in Owen Sound...

The meeting highlighted the strength of the OSMB community, recognizing the dedication of volunteers and reaffirming the organization’s commitment to providing accessible, well-governed, and positive baseball experiences for local youth.

By-Laws Officially Ratified

A key milestone of the evening was the official ratification of OSMB’s updated By-Laws. This important step modernizes the organization’s governance structure, improves clarity and accountability, and positions OSMB for long-term stability and growth. The Board thanks the membership for their support and engagement throughout this process. To review the OSMB By-Laws, please click here.

  • Brent Fisher was elected to the Board of Directors as the new Vice President of Rep & Select

  • Ryan Bartley, Past VP Rep & Select, will continue to support the program as Player Development Coordinator

  • Scott Macleod returns to the Board of Directors as Vice President of House League

  • Mark Phillips returns in a Key Volunteer position as a Volunteer @ Large, while also taking on the role of WOBA Representative. With OSMB President Jesse Edmunds recently taking on the role of WOBA President, Mark will attend the WOBA meetings as an extra vote for OSMB.

OSMB is grateful to all individuals who stepped forward to serve, and to those continuing in leadership roles to provide consistency and experience within the organization. For a full listing of returning and new OSMB Board of Directors & Key Volunteers, please click here.

A Community-Driven Organization

Throughout the evening, emphasis was placed on the fact that Owen Sound Minor Baseball is powered entirely by volunteers. From coaches and convenors to umpires, board members, and behind-the-scenes supporters, the success of the program depends on community involvement.

As shared during the President’s address, “Youth baseball does not operate without volunteers. Every hour given, every role filled, and every decision made in good faith directly impacts the experience of our players and families.”

Thank You to Our Volunteers and Members

OSMB extends sincere thanks to:

  • Outgoing and past volunteers for their time, leadership, and commitment

  • Current board members and coordinators for continuing to serve

  • Parents, players, and community members who attended the AGM and remain engaged in the future of the association

Your involvement strengthens not only Owen Sound Minor Baseball, but the broader community it serves.

With renewed governance, a strong leadership team, and an engaged membership, Owen Sound Minor Baseball looks forward to the upcoming season with optimism and momentum. The organization remains focused on development, inclusivity, and ensuring baseball continues to thrive in Owen Sound for years to come.
