What is Challenger Baseball? (Owen Sound Minor Baseball)

PrintWhat is Challenger Baseball?

Inclusive. Empowering. For Everyone.

At Owen Sound Minor Baseball, we believe the game should be accessible to everyone.

Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program designed for athletes living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. It’s a place where athletes can build confidence, develop skills, and—most importantly—be part of a team.

No experience required. No barriers. Just opportunity.

What is Challenger Baseball?

Challenger Baseball is a fun, safe, and inclusive program that uses baseball as a tool to build life skills, friendships, and confidence.

Athletes are supported in a way that meets them where they are—ensuring every participant can experience success, growth, and connection.

This is not about competition.
This is about belonging.

Our Mission

To create a level playing field where all athletes—regardless of ability—have the opportunity to participate, grow, and thrive through sport.

Our Values

At OSMB, Challenger Baseball is built on:

  • Inclusion – Everyone has a place on the field
  • Respect – Every athlete is valued and supported
  • Development – Growth happens at every level
  • Community – We build connections that last beyond the game
  • Athlete First – Every decision starts with the athlete experience

This is what #BaysoxNation is all about.

Challenger Baseball is made possible with support from Baseball Canada and the Jays Care Foundation
