Tryout Update, Fall / Winter Workouts
To the Owen Sound Hawks baseball family,
I want to take this time to send a thank you to all those who have attended tryouts for the 11U rep team for the 2024 season. As a staff, we were very pleasantly surprised with the number of athletes that came out and worked incredibly hard on the ball field...
Each athlete trying out was given a code number as their ID (each parent should have received this unique code number for their athlete). The OSMB website will now show the current status of those that have tried out next to their code number. The status will be displayed in one of two ways:
1. The space will be left blank OR it will read as "pending". This indicates that we would like your athlete to attend our indoor program so we can continue to develop their baseball skill set and continue evaluations for our final roster decisions.
2. The space will read "released". This indicates that your athlete will not continue with the rep team workouts at this time.

If your athlete's status is released, please know that there are still incredible baseball opportunities moving forward for them. OSMB will have a full house league program running for the 2024 season. Do not let this deter your athlete from playing baseball. Please continue to provide them the opportunity to fall in love with this amazing game! If you are looking for specific feedback on areas of improvement, as well as options for those improvements for your athlete, do not hesitate to contact me.

***If your athlete has been invited to continue with our indoor programming, please note that this is NOT our final roster. We are taking 19 athletes indoors for continued development and evaluations. We do not have a set time frame for when the final roster will be made, however, that roster will likely have 13 full time athletes on it. We hope that your athletes see this as an opportunity to greatly improve on development in the game of baseball!
***We will have a budget for the 2024 season completed and presented to you as soon as we can.
***For the indoor workouts. We ask that you bring $3 for each workout that your athlete attends, to help cover the cost of the facility booking.
***Our indoor schedule at Kemble Arena is planned for:
- Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm
- Friday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

The 11U rep staff are incredibly excited to work with your athletes! Rest assured, the passion for baseball, and working with youth athletes among this coaching staff is unmatched and unwavering!!
