Tournament Baseball Returns to Balmy Beach
Owen Sound Minor Baseball, and the 11U Jr Baysox Rep Team, are excited to be hosting the Inaugural "Battle on the Bay" Tournament Aug 2-5...
The tournament will play host to 8 teams, with games starting on Saturday August 3rd @ 9am. Games will be played out of the Balmy Beach (Headquarters) and Shallow Lake diamonds. A social event is being planned for Sunday evening (after the games) at Balmy Beach, including a live band and games. The Township of Georgian Bluffs is also exploring the idea of hosting a vendors market at Shallow Lake Rec Centre during the tournament.
50/50 tickets will be available for purchase throughout the weekend, with the winner being announced prior to the Championship game on Monday. The 11U Jr Baysox will be teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the 50/50, as part of Owen Sound Minor Baseball initiative to build stronger community partnerships. This tournament provides lots of opportunities for community partnerships and sponsorships.
To enhance the experience for our players and parents, RogersTV will be on site Monday at Balmy Beach to tape the Semi Finals and Championship.
