Hey Hawks / Jr Baysox,
The Owen Sound Minor Baseball Association Executive will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Monday December 16th from 7-9pm at East Ridge School...
Have you ever thought: "I wish the league would do this..."
OR
Maybe you're an avid baseball fan that wants to get involved in the game at the grassroots level,
OR
Maybe you're a community member looking to get involved and give back to the community,
OR
Maybe you grew up playing baseball and could bring some value to the league operations by joining the team,
OR
Maybe you're just a parent with a player in the league, looking to be more in the loop with league developments.
The OSMB Executive will provide some information and answer questions on league operations and developments, and we're always looking for individuals that are interested in joining the team. Want to get involved, but just at the age group of your player? Let us know at the AGM that you're interested in being a Division Convenor.
The Executive also has volunteer positions looking to be filled. This includes the role of Secretary, as well as an opening for Fields and Facilities Coordinator. Want to get involved in a general sense? Join our team as an "Executive at Large" with a willingness to help support other functions and league operations.
In addition, current OSMB President (Andrew Warwick) recently announced that he will be stepping down at the AGM, due to his personal and professional commitments. This means that our AGM will also include an election for the position of President. We wish to thank Andrew for all that he has done to support Owen Sound Minor Baseball, and we know he'll still be willing to help in any way that he can, as the league continues to grow and develop. While we're excited and grateful for the new volunteers that have stepped forward to fill the roles, we'd also like to thank non-returning members Rhonda Shannon (Fundraising and Sponsorships), Andrea Bedford (Treasurer), and Susan Lavergne (Uniforms). All 3 of these individuals played a vital role in supporting Andrew (and the league) through the rebound from the pandemic. Their contributions helped ensure that minor baseball remained viable through a trying time, and we will be forever grateful to them!
After significant growth and development during the 2024 season, it's an exciting time to be a part of Owen Sound Minor Baseball. Come out to the AGM and meet the team behind the scenes, ask questions, or see how you can get involved. We're looking forward to seeing all those that attend, and we're excited to keep planning towards the 2025 season, and the future of OSMB.
Sincerely,
Your OSMB Executive
