Jr Baysox Start Tournament With Comeback Win Over Hosts

Jr Baysox 13U trailed by as many as four, but came back to defeat Kincardine Cardinals U13 OBA on Friday, 9-8.
A steal of home by Hunter E put Jr Baysox 13U on the board in the top of the second.
Kincardine Cardinals U13 OBA captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second after Charlie S doubled down the left field line, Blake Z grounded out, and Owen C singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Kincardine Cardinals U13 OBA added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Carter C grounded out, Owen M was struck by a pitch, and Blake Z singled, each scoring one run.
Jr Baysox 13U flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 7-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Ryan W that drove in two.
Mikey S stepped on the bump first for Jr Baysox 13U. The right-handed pitcher surrendered seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking out one and walking three. Easton L led things off on the mound for Kincardine Cardinals U13 OBA. The starter surrendered six hits and five runs over three and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking three. Dennis F appeared in relief for Jr Baysox 13U.
Jr Baysox 13U tallied 10 hits in the game. Tate K and Dennis F were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Jr Baysox 13U while hitting back-to-back. Ryan W led Jr Baysox 13U with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The second baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Hunter E, Riley A, Tate K, and Jack H each stole multiple bases for Jr Baysox 13U. Jr Baysox 13U ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 14 stolen bases for the game.
