The 15U House Select Jr Baysox got off to a good start at the Canada Day Classic Tournament in Oakville...
Lead by Douglas Flood (who pitched a complete game), the Jr Baysox beat the Northhumberland Jacks 5-2 on Friday night. Flood pitched 4 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, before the rain / lightning ended the game early. Fisher Linthorne earned the game MVP with some clutch hits and scoring, and the team played a tight defensive game overall.
Game 2 of the tournament gets underway at 12:00 - Noon on Saturday, as the Jr Baysox square off against the Oakville Whitecaps, followed by Game 3 at 6pm versus the Annette A's.
